Free Curriculum

Ambleside Online gives free Christian Curriculum. However, if you are not a Christian, you can still use the resources to look for free books. They have the links to  many great free books online.

Free Picture Books

There are lots of free digital picture books in We give books

Storyline Online has famous actors from the Screen Actor Guild Foundation reading great stories aloud.

Some of these free books are quite advanced, so wait to use it when the kids are ready to listen at this level.


History:

  Story of Mankind (free from Project Gutenberg) - Old edition.

   Our Island Story (Free from The Baldwin Project, as well as other sources)

 Science: A history through it's greatest scientists
(Free. But I can't remember where I got it. Will check and update)

Literature:

  The Age of Fables  (free from Project Gutenberg and Manybooks,net)



Railway Children (free many sources)


 We've got the physical book but you can get it free from the above sources as well.

7 Math Hacks

1. Multiples of 9 works in reverse order!



2. Your hands can tell you the future ... okay, fine, it can tell you multiples of 6, 7, 8, and 9!





3. Butterfly method for adding and subtracting fractions! No fighting over pizza anymore!



4. Reverse Zorro! Starting at the bottom, draw a line from the 4 to the 24 (4 goes into 24 six times). Draw the line to the 3 (six times three is 18). Draw the top line and write the answer. 



5. Know what date will fall on what day of the week any time ... GENIUS!


6. How to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius and vice versa all in your head!


7. Percentages will never stifle you ever again
